Here I am on New Year's eve feeling a bit reflective on the last year. I was going to write a year in review article of sorts but I got to thinking it would probably be more meaningful to look to the future and brighter things to come.
Most of you have already noticed that the blog has a new look. I am starting the year off right with an upcoming Ninjutsu seminar on Saturday the 22nd of January, as well as a ninjutsu program at the Dunigan Family YMCA in Evansville, Indiana.
So, despite of some the things I have to deal with in recent months (knotheads ripping of my blog and the losers I had to threaten with legal litigation for doing so) as all can see I am moving full steam ahead.
A few of the new year's projects are already under way and I am excited about 2011. Several people have offered their support over the years such as O'sensei Ronald Duncan and I want to take this oppotunity to thank him for it.
There will be some articles by me coming out in some upcoming issues of Shinobi No Mono magazine. I want to thank Christa Jacobson for that. I cannot thank Doryan Algarra enough for letting me use his ninja graphic.
Lastly, but definitely not least my students they train and study and read my blog and of course it is with their help that I move forward into 2011.
My students and I have been moving forward this past year and there have been those who have offered certain things in the past, things that quite frankly I did not ask for but the were offered and then they were not delivered. This was a humiliating let down to not only myself but my students as well. I am sure that this person meant well but he simply did not follow thru with what he said he was going to do. I wish them no ill will, I instead wish them safe journey and I sincerely hope they find in life whatever they search for. Our paths have simply come to be different ones.
The future is indeed bright with the program growing and more exposure being given to my blog as well as the continued support of those who I have mentioned earlier. I want to wish every one a Happy New Year and may 2011 bring success and happiness to you all.

Mr. Shepherd,
I'd like to take this opportunity as your student to say, thank you.2010 was was a very good year, having been the year I discovered Kenpo. Thanks to your teaching style and patient (how many steps till I punch?) instruction I feel a sense of accomplishment and knowledge I didn't think an old dude like myself would in just under a year of instruction. Looking forward to a great 2011 and hoping to become a better Martial Artist. Thanks again Sir.
